A very nice piece in classic Victor Davis Hanson style, verbose and overelaborate. For all his gilded knowledge, Hanson has yet to come across the word laconic.

LOLOLOL! But he writes with such elegance! He almost rivals the late, great Krauthammer.

his 'gilded knowledge' includes the idea there is no electronic vote rigging. That has been shown to happen. It doesn't mesh with his 'shining city on a hill' view of civics, so he ignores it.

Voting need not be rigged everywhere, just in those precincts where it won't be easily caught, and can provide a huge vote surplus to override the other party's votes across the state.

Civics is much dirtier than he's willing to believe. Or, he's gaslighting us on purpose. I'm no longer willing to give the benefit of the doubt to folks who don't think politicians in general and leftists in particular aren't willing to do whatever it takes to win and keep power.
