My main pistols are XD-9s, but a Kel-Tec P-11 is right up there.

I have put many 100s of rounds (pushing a thousand) through it and it is as reliable as a Glock or XD.

10+1 of 9mm in a compact double stack is hard to beat for light and easy CCW. The DAO trigger means you really have to mean it to fire the gun, but when you pull that trigger back, it goes bang and reloads every single time.

Sure, it's a K-T, and haters will hate, but it works like a champ for me. At 7-11 distances, it will be plenty accurate, and because of its compact size and light weight, it will be on my belt under my untucked shirt.

And it's inexpensive, for those on a budget. And 9mm is the most common and cheapest center fire ammo around. Practice ammo is dirt cheap, and modern defensive JHPs are plenty effective.

I bought a P-11 for my Wife years ago, and it kept pinching her little finger at the mag well when she fired it. She also didn’t like the double action only trigger.
When the XDs came out, I got her the first one in .45. She loved it, and carries it every day.
The P-11 is the only gun I’ve ever sold.

What ammo are you using? I had feed problems with my LC9 when using hollow points.

Two good points:
1. 7-11 distances
2. concealable in FL clothing

And as always, 9mm costs less that 45, so practice happens more. Unless you are sponsored ...
