A stupid choice-most of my trannie clients worked for the city or county-employers who were mandated to tolerate the insanity-so they had the mutilating surgery done on the city/county insurance dime-later, they got injured at work and the county or city was only too happy to pay their comp benefits, for PT, etc then claim they had no position open that would accommodate their new limitations-so out to the private sector to seek work they went-it was next to impossible to get them to understand that employers in the real world of work were under no obligation to hire someone who was an instant liability in every way from insurance coverage, ability to work with others, customer reaction to them, etc. I usually was able to find an employer to hire them for a position they were qualified for that involved only minimum exposure to customers-then I’d follow up for 6 months-and close their case with a giant sigh of relief..
