I hope you’re right.
I’ve known a few WWII “legacy” Democrats and their party devotion is almost unshakable. I can see them sitting out an election in disgust rather than voting for a Republican.

I know a lot of those people as well. If they get disgusted enough to sit out the mid-terms the Democratic Party is burnt toast.
