One of the TV programs, was doing a ‘Man On The Street’ asking people about the meaning of July 4. Of the 10 or so interviewed, no one knew. Just amazing.
Some years ago, Sean Hannity sent a girl reporter out onto the streets of New York City to ask passersby what we celebrate on July 4. If I recall correctly, not one person answered correctly. The girl reporter then told Hannity that she didn't know herself--she thought it was the celebrate the end of one of the World Wars.
