Fun facts about state capitals
original to FR | July 4, 2018 | Peter O'Donnell

So apparently today is some sort of day off work, for me every day is a day off work (age = 69) and I wanted to boost the idea of the fundraiser (give until it hurts if you enjoy this thread) so here goes nothing ...

See if you know the answers to these three questions, and I will post the right answers at 0800h PDT or about two hours from now.

(1) How many of the 50 (not 57, Barack) state capitals happen to be also the largest city in their state? BONUS: which one comes closest without being the largest in percentage terms?

(2) How many of the 50 state capitols look roughly like the federal Capitol Building (dome essential) and what's the second most popular architectural type?

(3) Simpsons question -- which state capital is closest to the Springfield in its state, and is there one closer to any Springfield in any state?

Go for it !! Answers at 0800h PDT (1100h EDT, 1000h CDT or 0900h MDT).

Montpelier

I’ve only been to 7 of The capital cities. Where I’ve gotten off the highway

I’ve lived in Providence. And Washington DC
