In NJ, where I grew up, the police would have arrested her - for even having the gun outside of her home, let alone using it.
Thank God that I’m in Texas now...and my wife would do the same (and then probably dismember and burn the body, and still be pissed about not having done enough, 20 years later).

At the hospital, they had to wait for the bullet to stop bouncing around inside that guy's empty brain dumpster before they could do a scan.

May not have helped. The guy was clearly brainless so shooting in the head may just create a see-through hole.

He probably lost control of a lot more than just the vehicle. Since the head shot did not seem to hurt him very much, I would Imagine that a lot more was being evacuated out of the other end.

If my wife shot you in the head there would be no need for an ambulance.
It may have been better for her to not have done that.
That way it’s totally a self-defense issue, and not a murder charge against her for going overboard.
Plus the guy is going to have to live with the consequences of his foolish decision the rest of his life.
He will be reminded of it every time he looks in the mirror, if he is fortunate to have his eyesight left.
