there’s a lot of truth in that. Donald Trump and his supporters espouse substantially more classical liberal principles than do modern-day Dem leftists, which essentially have turned away from ALL classical liberal principles in terms of their actual behavior.

i remember back in the day that Dems supposedly stood for the working men and women of our country, for freedom of speech, for tolerance (not just lip) service, individual freedom vs Big Brother and overwhelming government spying and intrusion, civil liberties, rule of law, economic freedom ... but that was a LONG time ago ...

JFK did lower taxes, including the top rate. He commanded a PT Boat in WWII. (McHale’s Navy came from that) He hated Communists, and backed them down in Cuba. He blew his attempt to overthrow Castro, but he had the right idea. Best of all, he made America the preeminent country in space, a very important thing.

Compare the idiots running the Democrat party today. Compare those idiots to Sam Rayburn too. It’s not an American party anymore, it’s a party for foreigners and America haters.
