British Prime Minister Theresa May got her cabinet to back her approach to Brexit after a 12-hour meeting at her country home, Checkers, tonight.
Her plan envisions Britain remaining under EU regulations and control with separate sets of rules for goods imported into the UK and those moving into EU countries.
Supporters of Brexit see her plan as a sellout of Brexit and a plan that will hurt the ability of the UK to forge a trade deal with the United States promised by President Trump in conjunction with Brexit.
Some wonder whether the EU will be amenable to her plan as well, suggesting that EU officials may reject it.
