Not in mine, not even the line that was in Michigan when it was Quebec the 1600s. Not those that landed at Martha’s Vineyard in 1640. Not a drop. Of course if DNA was around for several times back greats, maybe it would have shown up. There is no family lore for Native American.

Husband has a line from the Mohawk Valley. Nat Foster was an uncle. Not a drop there either. He and many of his cousins from the other side have high cheek bones. None there either. Both sides to back in the USA to the 1700s and before.

Fauxcahontas is full of it if she does not do a DNA on her own.

As you know, "not uncommon" is not the same as "inevitable." As an amateur/semipro genealogist, I have access to a lot of data that other people don't. I can tell you that the blue-blooded Bush family has trace amounts of Native DNA going back to the early days of Massachusetts and the famed negro educator Dr. Booker T. Washington has trace amounts of white blood.

My wife can actually trace a line back to the father of Pocahontas through a half sister and I to a number of Cherokee and Sioux maidens who were in the same place as genealogical ancestors in what is now North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, South Dakota and Wyoming.

The markers show up in our DNA tests as well. A better marker than high cheek bones in actually a near lack of body hair except for the crotch and armpits. As noted in my previous post, the mere sight of female genitalia will temporarily turn the average male brain into mush whereas the reverse is not usually true.

Warren may or may not show similar markers. My guess is that even if she did, the percent would be in the single digits, certainly not enough to secure a minority preference as a professor.
