He isn’t killing it, that is the problem. And Ted needs to campaign like he is 9 points behind.

Cruz shot himself in the foot way too many times over the years. I like him, I hope he wins, but he really needs to campaign and not assume Beto will just lose and he keeps his seat. That was the Hillary plan, and we all know what happened.
