A U.S. judge struck back late Friday night at a Trump administration claim that speeding up the reunification of immigrant families separated at the U.S.-Mexican border would put children at risk, saying the government had either misunderstood his instructions or was “acting in defiance of them.”
Last month, in a case brought by the American Civil Liberties Union, U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw ordered the government to reunite as many as 2,500 children and parents separated as part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to combat illegal immigration. The separations came after families crossed the border illegally or filed for asylum at a border crossing.
Trump abandoned the practice on June 20 amid a massive public outcry, and the government is now struggling to reunite the families in time to comply with a court-ordered July 26 deadline....

There is a flaw in the system and the libs are exploiting it.
one federal judge should not have more power than a president.
Libs are kinda stupid to keep pushing these rogue judges in everything. We get another judge and a good case this stuff will stop.
Of course they are dumb anyway.
The judge is trying to order that they all be kept on this side of the border. The Democrats will get judges to do what they can’t get done in Congress. Some judge will sooner or later proclaim that no one may be taken to jail if he/she has a child. That is the law the Democrats wanted to pass in Congress.
If the order is to reunite children with their parents, and they are not, in fact, their parents, then Trump is hardly defying any order.
He does NOT HAVE THE POWER TO COMPEL ANYTHING. These powers are solely vested in the Executive branch, and the recent SCOTUS travel ban ruling codifies that. Why do they play footsie with this liberal moron? When he schedules hearings, file an adjournment for a week, and if he refuses, blow it off. Make an example of him. Show other judges they will be treated with similar contempt if they try to usurp Section II powers in the future.
The parents applying for asylum are not separated from their children. They have not committed a crime.
The judge doesn’t care about the safety of the children. She wants to force catch and release as soon as possible.
Only the Trump Administration has shown any concern for the safety of the children.
