Thomas Sowell made some great contributions in economics. I scanned through one of his economics books and it was well done.

He misread Donald Trump. Here is one story he wrote that got a lot of attention at the time.

I agree to a certain extent with Sowell and I consider him honorable as well as brilliant. But if you look at what is offered by each party they are always those most controlled by the rich.
Fact is I will surprise you and say the rich should have all their funds taken by a real honest government that looks out for America first. I know how that sounds but do not have time to explain. Members of the hierarchy in Congress are looking out for the wealth of self and friends. Those who are considered outsiders are on the money but if they stick around they will change because they can get nothing done unless they agree with those in control. I have very little faith in those of either party running our government or the intelligence agencies. I have little doubt our government feeds us eroneous information when it comes to intelligence and when the screw up they cover up. Both Putin and Trump look out for their own country. I do not know how Putin is controlled but I honestly believe Trump is trying to look out for the real backbone of America.
