Police ban our National flag from the 134th Durham miners Gala?

Durham Miners Gala, 134th to be held was held this weekend, the first I have missed in many years. And how I now wish I had been there because this is beyond ridiculous, it is now against the law to fly the Union flags at it because it may cause trouble according the “Durham police Farce”????

The Miners Gala is and has always been a celebration of the history of the area both of the mines and the people of Country Durham and surrounding areas, which includes tens of thousands of men that fought under the Union flag with the Durham Light Infantry in the First World War and many thousand more in the Second World War, Montgomery called the DLI his “faithful Durham’s” and he took at least one battalion of the Durham’s into ever campaign he fought.

Most of the local pit had reserve units formed pre WW1 and later those units went to war in the First World War and again many thousands of miners volunteered in the Second World War and the “political police farce” are now banning the country’s flag “as it will cause disorder” at an event celebrating locval British History ???

It’s time the “Police Farce” (because they can’t be called anything else now, they are not a public service anymore, they are not even giving the slightest hint of being such anymore, they are out and out Liberal/far left and governmental enforcers), well it time they where brought to heal and the PC agenda that has seen the steady decline in public confidence in them drop to all time lows and going off this no wonder :-(

Time all political dogma was removed from policing; They are supposed to uphold the Law and serve the people, protect the people and defend their right to freedom of speech, freedom to celebrate their national and local identity, not enforce bans on the National flag but then allow Hamas etc flags to be flown.

The Union Flag is just that, it represents four nations uniting under one flag, hardly racist or offensive unless you are anti English, Scottish, Welch or Northern Irish, in which case you would be a racist and require arresting under the new thought laws.

When did the “Police Farce” stop being about the law, serving and protecting and became a political enforcement wing for far left PC agenda’s?

Feel sick to my stomach that this could happen only a few miles from where I live and at an event that is supposed to celebrate local history which includes thousand of men that died to defend that flag and this country, this united country?:-(

But yet the courts allow landover ‘baptist’ or whatever that scummy false religious church is protest AT FUNERALS of fallen soldiers? Like that isn’t a case where trouble could start because of the protests?

The flag fliers need to take this to court as a clear violation of free speech/freedom of expression

Also- the courts allow men to use women’s bathrooms- how the hell isn’t that going to be a possible cause for trouble?

Police can now violate the first amendment because they claim it ‘might cause trouble’? I guess they pick and choose which actions they don’t approve of in regards to free expression

It is difficult to respond to this without lapsing into pure rage. The fate of Newcastle and Durham County is tragic enough with the area that was once a large part of the steel guts of the British Empire being reduced to a near wasteland of derelict structures and sealed coal pits now the civic ‘authorities’ are to cowardly to permit the Union flag to be displayed at the annual miners day parade. This is the county from which the Durham Light Infantry one of the most decorated regiments in the Royal Army was recruited from Literally thousands of men of the DLI gave their lives in Asia, Africa and Europe for the UK. Now this vile disgrace. No wonder the mudslimes believe time is on their side.
