Hang in there and take it one day at a time.
Here is what is going on:
1.) This is nothing new (the gaslighting by the Left and the Media) but what IS new is a President who calls them out on it. This has driven them mad, like a bully being punched in the nose by a chronic victim.
2.) The Left has abused the power of government and not only spied on American citizens without cause, it spied on an opposition party in a Presidential campaign without cause. This is not going to go away. It is not going to be swept under a rug. This is terrible and frustrating, but for your 20 month old girl, this is a good thing. She may grow up in a freer country because of all this.
3.) THIS IS KEY...REMEMBER THIS: The FISA warrant request, even though extremely redacted, tells the story, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise: The veracity of the information in the application was sworn to by six people in high positions: James Comey, John Kerry, Andrew McCabe, John Brennan, James Clapper and Susan Rice. THIS IS KEY, REMEMBER THIS: Comey said the information used as justification was salacious and unverified. His words. McCabe said that without the fallacious Steele Dossier, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO FISA WARRANT. His words. Those were the #1 and #2 people at the FBI. The head of the FBI’s counterintelligence division, Assistant Director Bill Priestap, said that corroboration of the Steele dossier was in its “infancy” at the time of the initial Page FISA application. What this means is that ALL of these people who signed their names to the document SWORE that the information was verified...WHEN IN THEIR OWN WORDS, ON PUBLIC RECORD, THEY STATE THAT IT WASN’T. What this means is that the surveillance was illegal, NO MATTER WHAT REDACTED INFORMATION IS OBTAINED IN THE RELEASED FISA WARRANT. Very important, because the Left and Media all want you to think otherwise. ALL INFORMATION TO SUPPORT A FISA SURVEILLANCE THAT IS INCLUDED IN THE APPLICAION MUST BE VERIFIED AS TRUE, OR THE ENTIRE WARRANT IS INVALID. (Think of one drop of sewage in a gallon of drinkable water. That gallon of pure drinkable water becomes a gallon of sewage. That is the analogy.)
4.) Things seem unhinged right now, because the Left and the Media are unhinged. The stupid ones (Comey, Brennan, the Media, Strzok, etc) are doubling down and sticking with the story of Trump Russia Collusion. They are all going to ride that sinking ship to the waterline and beyond. The less stupid ones (Clapper, Lisa Page, etc) see the writing on the wall. Clapper even came out this week and said the whole Russia Trump investigation wouldn’t have happened without Obama’s approval. Some of the rats are doing what rats do on a sinking ship. The smart rats.
Bottom line, they are getting unhinged because Trump isn’t playing by their rules. He isn’t exposing his bare ass to be kicked. He isn’t laying down, or wrapping himself in the cloak of the “dignity of the Office of the Presidency”, and they are becoming unstable because they can’t just take their ball and go home. They are the ones who started the game.
And as they become unhinged, they let their fake mask fall off, and EVERYONE sees their ugly countenances. If even only for a second, but they all see it before the Leftists can put their mask back on. Look at things like CNN and The View. They are stupid, biased, ugly, and best of all, provably in the wrong, and even people who don’t pay attention are seeing it. And this is a good thing.
Take heart, FRiend. This is painful and unsettling right now, but I have high hopes our country is going to come out better in the end because of all this, and because Trump IS who he IS.
Look at Commie-fa - then ask how could we pull people away from that horror.

To answer your question directly, I believe it’s simple ignorance combined with a susceptibility to emotional manipulation and suggestion.
In a word (another speech I’m working on, each a corollary of the other): Stupidity.

For someone that lays it out, stick with Lou Dobbs on Fox Business channel. If you want further frustration then Tucker has plenty of people on that will convince you that truth doesn't matter at all. Hannity is a lot like watching Lucille Ball reruns.

Exactly. And the Truth is more than a concept - it is an actual, tangible entity. Christ said he spoke the Truth, but He also made the most outrageous, incredible claim. He said He was Truth itself.
