It will be hard to prove the downs baby was discriminated against. Most often downs babies are discriminated against in the medical community first and foremost.

And to add...my son was suspected of having DS because I was 36 when I had him. I knew the risks. Didn’t matter. He had a couple of ‘markers’ when born but genetic tests came back negative.

I am writing a science fiction series set in the future, where the religious live in secret, and such children are automatically aborted in the mainstream.
I have known some such children in the past when I worked in the church, but I am doing more research, since I want to represent them in a respectful and realistic manner.
