There are simple methods for making your own AR15 receiver mold as well. It only takes a couple of hours and an existing receiver.

I noticed the codeisfreespeech.com site that had a number of plans up was taken down mid-day yesterday.

I lost them in a tragic boating accident, but during the Emperor’s reign, I ordered a couple of 80% receivers.

Life got in the way, but I have everything needed to finish them off, plus most of the other parts required other than the barrel and stock - I haven’t made those final decisions yet.

If you build an AR this way, there’s no paper trail and you can spread the cost out significantly, building it how you want as you go.

They appear to be functioning just fine this morning.

You could also carve one out of wood. The lower receiver holds the trigger and recoil buffer tube assemblies so any material of reasonable strength will work.

Thanks for the helpful, at least interesting, information.

Just one thing... wishing to be helpful, please... the correct term is "the internet", in the collective usage.

Option numero dos is most intriguing, btw...

The casting with epoxy resin looks interesting but you have to do the machining that the 80% has already done. How do you drill and tap the large thread that holds the buffer tube and stock? Much easier to buy a completed lower receiver and be done with it.
It would be neat to have a red, white and blue receiver though.

https://ghostgunner.net/products/ghost-gunner-2-deposit

Your order will contain the fully-assembled GG2 CNC, tooling, software, and operating instructions.

Current estimated delivery date is Q4 2018.

We charge a $100.00 flat fee for shipping the GG2 domestically. Shipments to Canada and Mexico are an additional $100 and will be made without the inclusion of any .DD cutting files.

The Ghost Gunner 2 full price is $2,000 before shipping. Your deposit will account for $250 of that price.

Note: I am not affiliated with Ghost Gunner, just posting relevant information. $2,100 for a finished receiver is steep. For those with little or no machining skill, a group/family purchase at $2,100, plus $120 per blank for unregistered 1911 frames and $67-$87 per lower for as many receivers as you want is fabulous.

You would not be violating any laws if you purchased the parts kits for 20+ 1911s and the blanks for the frames, gave/resold them for cash to your extended family, then lined everyone up at a family reunion and told them each to hit “start” to manufacture their own handgun on the already-programmed Ghost Gunner. A similar move with AR-10s and AR-15s, and your clan is well equipped for a full zombie apocalypse. If zombies infiltrated the government, as they already have at DMV, they would have no indication of who owned those firearms.

Do some digging on Option Dos. Lots of un-satisfied people purchased them. There was hype about “free plans” once purchased that never came to be.
I see used ones for sale all the time at gun shows.
They may have righted their ship by now (I was looking at the Ghost Runner 2 myself) but just stick to milling out 80’s for my business. If you get good milling bits you can finish milling in about an hour. I also anodize or cerakote depending on what the customer wants.

Just don’t get caught without roll marks on a range outside your property; you are inviting lots of problems for yourself.

The threads are cast in place. If anything a little minor trimming is necessary.

Several reviews at the site.

Likely in some states. New Jersey, New York, California, and Massachusetts come to mind...

While not technically illegal in my state; if you are making one or two for yourself a person should be fine. Pop up at the range with one and you’ll likely get an ATF visit later and be questioned. Its just easier to serial and roll mark the lowers and be done with it (and doing serials yourself via electric etching is easy). That is one other thing I did not like about the GG2, can’t roll mark with it.

Interesting. I exclusively used Internet, until someone corrected me and said the correct term was “Internets”.

I prefer Internet. Looking it up, Internet is used a bit more than Internets.
