Baseball, from the 1940s, is a great story with the admission of Jackie Robinson to the major leagues. It was the right thing to do, and everybody knew it almost immediately. The color line was stupid and it was good to break the color line.
In contrast, today most professional sports seem to be largely about “White people suck” and secondarily “I hope we win”.
I no longer watch professional sports. I do occasionally attend minor league ball games. Basketball? Are you kidding?? It’s thug ball.
And so many other things are now like that — White people? Villains. Black people? Heroes. It’s pure racism and I don’t tolerate racism. I don’t know how it ends, but the race situation in this country was a hell of a lot better 30 years ago.
24/7 cable news channels made it worse.
