Could be worth pursuing.
I live about a mile away from my local Kroger in Michigan. I go there 4-5 times a week. Worst bottle and can deposit return machines I’ve ever seen in my life. Been watching the guy who’s responsible for keeping them going. He’s a grade A slacker. Tempted to apply for a job just to fire his ass.
Kroger is hiring here in Indiana too.
I didn’t even know we had Kroger in this state.
Let me take a wild guess here. It’s retail, therefore, 99% of the new “Associates” will be kept under 40 hours per week. My ex-husband (when we were married in the early 80s) was scheduled 40 hrs a week. The 3rd week (had he worked 40 hrs) he would have automatically became a full-time employee with all the benefits and pay-scale. That 3rd week, as was par for the course, Kroger scheduled him for 38 hours. Due to a store meatcutter’s illness, he had to cover for him. BAM! He had in his 3rd week at 40 hours. Corporate tried to finagle around it by saying that he wasn’t SCHEDULED 40 hrs, he only WORKED 40 hours. At that time, the Meatcutters Union held strong and the week I delivered our son, was his first week with full benefits. Talk about cutting it close to the wire!
