> Jimmy Carter ranked higher than George W. Bush? <

No doubt about it. Carter was an incompetent. But Carter didn’t involve us in not one, but two Vietnams. That’s W’s legacy.

But I’m not done yet. FDR had Pearl Harbor. And then FDR decided to utterly crush Germany and Japan. And that’s exactly what happened. Nazism was ground into dust, as was Japanese imperialism.

W had his own Pearl Harbor: 9/11. And so W had the opportunity - and the duty - to utterly crush radical Islam. But, no. W instead told us that “Islam is peace”.

Carter’s errors are minor compared to W’s. The West will pay for W’s mistakes for decades to come.

I agree about W but I would add Iran and inflation to carter’s woes. He was the first to be able to take on islam and he sat in the wh 444 days and peed his pants.

I would put W in the bottom five, along with LBJ (whose Great Society, initiation of the Vietnam War based on false pretenses cooked up by Rob’t. McNamara and 1965 Immigration Act did incalculable damage); Obama (pushed state socialism); Buchanan (fiddled while the Civil War brewed); and Franklin Pierce (a drunk). W needlessly started a war that too many families had to pay the ultimate price for, that accomplished nothing, and that cost trillions in dollars. He was and is a congenital idiot.

I will never forget Carter’s interest rates. 21% prime and I was paying paying 3% over prime - 24% interest on $200K of business loans as jobs were drying up. Thank God for Reagan, I managed to survive.

Carter’s decision to oust the Shah of Iran, because he just wasn’t nice enough for the peanut farmer, paved the way for today’s middle east. Carter was an incompetent boob. While Obama was evil, I don’t think that he did as much damage as Carter.
