In south florida A/C is absolute. We only have 2 seasons, hot and really HOT The humidity is so high your sweat doesnt evaporate cooling you off. I drink at least 1 gallon of water when at work
but heaters up north have way higher utility bills. Think about it: cooling 15 degrees from 95 to 80 versus heating 35 degrees 35 to 70. and that's during the HEAT of the day.

When it gets cold here I open all my windows and kick on the ceiling fans. I don’t care if its 40* and I’m blowing smoke. Don’t have to mow the yard everyday. Mow every 2 weeks or maybe a month. If the water is still warm go to the beach. Snowed here when I was in high school January 19, 1977.
If it gets below 40* the iguanas start falling out of the trees.
