SPRINGFIELD, Mo- Looking for a job? Well AT&T might have one... or 70 jobs available.
The company is hosting a hiring event to fill 70 call center representatives.
The event will be this Saturday, August 18th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 600 E. St. Louis St., 1st Floor in Springfield.
The new jobs come as AT&T is expanding its entertainment sales and services operations.

I worked at a ATT help desk in Burbank, CA for less then 5 days. I quit on the 5th day as another company called Earthlink at the time offered $1.50 more an hour.
ATT wanted me and the others to wear ties at work. Also no one could park in the parking lot until you were there for 1 year. You had to drive round and round to find a spot and walk a distance to get to work. Also at training class (some 30 people) someone asked what was the turnover rate and the trainer said 10% a month...!
I looked around and realized all these people (including me) would be gone in less then a year.
They closed the call center after a few years and you could tell who were the ATT people who got hired at Earthlink as they showed up wearing ties.
