You can go with prohibition and I’ll go with freedom & President Trump.

Ill stick with the law of the land. Federal law totally preempts state law on narcotics— no question about it.

Under the same rigor as the FDA that a pharmaceutical company is required to do? That is the standard for releasing a drug. If it’s not the standard for medical pot, then why?

FDA standards are arguably overly stringent; a number of well regarded pharmaceuticals that are legal in Europe have been rejected by the FDA, and it's often said that existing drugs like aspirin couldn't pass FDA screening today.

And if the pot stays within a single state, it's Constitutionally none of any federal agency's business anyway.

No FDA approval for medicinal use. This means it has no medicinal use.

legalization but that WILL NEVER happen. No politician wants to stand for dope!!

President Trump campaigned on states' rights for marijauna, and as President has stated his support for Sen. Gardners bill deferring to state marijuana policies.

What a bootlicking attitude toward big government. I think you're looking for the Democratic Underground site.

Federal law on within-state marijuana matters is not authorized by the Constitution — no question about it.

Just another example of the advantage of being clean and sober in a world of stoners.

That ,my friend , is a false illusion created by failure to enforce those laws which jeff sessions is so want to do. It is a simple matter of a change of enforcement policy which, I pray for every day. Be very careful before you invest in weed.

“Federal law totally preempts state law on narcotics— no question about it.”

Guess what? States, exercising their rightful power under the 10th Amendment, have told your fedboys to eff off.

You know what else? Fedgov has not squat for 20+ years and will not do squat in the future.

Now what are you going to do about?

States tried that with Blacks. How did that turn out for you? Then they tried it with perverted marriages. Guess what? You folks really don’t have a clue about federal preemption. It amazes me.

FYI, fedgov unconstitutionally imposed perverted marriage on the states. The perversion of our culture could not happen without an all poweful fedgov driving it in the area of education and other social policies it has no business in.

So why do you support the New Deal Commerce Clause, which has been behind so much of our destruction?

No, it's a fact established by Article I Section 8 - The Congress shall have Power To regulate Commerce among the several States - and the Tenth Amendment - The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Seizures are NOT controlled with pot.

Your own FDA cite (post #28) says they have approved a cannabinoid for treatment of seizures.
