If running away to a desert island and spending your days surrounded by books sounds like a dream, we may have found the job for you.

If celebs at a resort are buying books on the spot to hold outside at the beach, it is to be seen with a book, not to actually read said book.
Either way the sale is made.
That was an element in The Great Gatsby. All the books in his library had pages that were not cut. (When a book is made multiple pages are printed on a giant page, folded, glued in place and then the sides are cut so the folds open up)
I was reading about Paul Allen (former Microsoft) and his huge plane that is in ground trials. It was designed to bring space vehicles up to altitude. Years ago he went back to his family home, and his mom had sold all of his books (lots of sci-fy space stuff). Allen scoured the family albums for photos of his room. Had the photos blown up to be able to see the book titles.
Then he sent people out to scour the bookstores for those books!
Like I tell my kids, with billions of dollars, you got to do SOMETHING with it!
There going to go broke betting on celebrities being able to read.
Its no “dream job.” The Maldives atoll is an Islamic state. The island Soneva Fushi is set aside for the kufir.
Don’t get caught with a Bible there.
The whole place is a scam. Every once in a while they claim they are sinking because of global warming and go to the UN to hit up wealthy countries for money. They took the money they made from that (for the purpose of mitigating ocean rising), and built an airport so they could become a tourist destination.
I have occasionally come across a library book that has uncut pages.
Incredibly sad Twilight Zone episode...
One that really stays with you.
