I like the 1911 style of pistol. You carry them with a round chambered , the hammer cocked and the safety on. My Sig P238 is like that. All you need to do is flip the safety off and fire. High quality pistols are probably very safe carried that way. I wouldn’t want to carry a Saturday night special like that.

Me too. Specifically the Colt 1911 series 80 system. The thumb safety is right where I expect it. My Mustang Pocketlite doesn't have a grip safety like my model 'O', but I'm getting used to it.

1911 system all the way for me unless I choose a revolver someday.
