Separation technologies manufacturer Eriez (Erie, PA) reports increased sales growth in most product and industry categories so far this year. President and CEO Tim Shuttleworth noted that bookings are up by as much as 35 percent from 2017 on a month-to-month comparison.
“Mining and recycling markets are bouncing back strongly, while products such as metal detectors continue to grow each year,” he explained. Many other products the company manufactures for plastics, food, rubber, textile, and aggregate industries are experiencing higher demand.
The company’s magnetic lift and separation, metal detection, fluid filtration, flotation, materials feeding, screening, conveying, and controlling equipment have applications in the process, metalworking, packaging, plastics, rubber, recycling, food, mining, aggregate, and textile industries.
Eriez’ sales growth is stimulating new recruitment efforts. Shuttleworth said the company hired a significant number of new employees in 2018 to expand its technical and manufacturing teams. Eriez is actively searching for qualified applicants in various departments.
