The politicization of this week’s funerals showed no R E S P I C T

I voted for John McCain in 2008. To this day I believe he would have been a better President than Barack Obama. None of us ever has the perfect candidate or the perfect President- unless you're a democrat. However, over the years John McCain became more and more of curmudgeon and he staked out some strange perspectives. McCain was part of the cabal that strove to derail Trump's campaign and then his Presidency. McCain also heartily endorsed the effort by the IRS to destroy the Tea Party. I I watched as McCain's fellow POW's say that they did not think that McCain was himself over the last year or two.

While I salute McCain's service to the country, I am less eager to celebrate McCain's later political life. I find myself bemused as I watch democrats like Chuck Schumer lauding the guy they called  "racist" in 2008. They speak glowingly of McCain only because he did not like Donald Trump. BTW, is the funeral over yet?

Meghan McCain used her father's funeral to take a shot at Donald Trump and in so doing became what she railed against.

"The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again, because America was always great."
Andrew Cuomo didn't think so.

The NY Times took the opportunity to slam Trump for playing golf during the funeral services.

Not sure if the Times knows it, but Trump wasn't invited to the funeral.

There was no love lost between McCain and Trump. McCain, however, could have proven himself the bigger man and invited Trump to the funeral, but he didn't. McCain's pettiness was highlighted by his snubbing of Sarah Palin. He asked Palin to be on his ticket, did not properly prepare her and then abandoned her. Then he snubbed her.

That was low. McCain was no saint.

Did I mention obama spoke at McCain's funeral?

He often called McCain a racist in 2008

In 2012, democrats piled the racism charge on McCain

Several House Democrats on Friday attacked Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) as a racist, a sexist, and said that his criticism of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice amounted to mugging and battering.

“There is a clear, a clear in my opinion, sexism and racism that goes with these comments that are being made by–unfortunately–Senator McCain and others,” Congressional Black Caucus chairwoman Rep. Marsha Fudge (D-Ohio.) said in a press conference Friday on Capitol Hill.

“And I strongly stand by that statement.”

It was even worse at Aretha Franklin's funeral. That was a complete sh*tshow. A number of attendees used the funeral to score political points.

Michael Dyson made an ass of himself:

I suspect Ivanka has a superior education, I suspect she is well mannered, BUT if Meghan said hateful things about my Dad and using her Dad’s funeral to do it, even if just implied, I would have stuck my chin in the air and marched out of that funeral. I also suspect her mother, Ivana, even now, would have marched out of there, too.

Ivanka would have made headlines, so probably just took it on the chin, but I think most of us would have been behind her 100%.

"Guess McCain became a corrupt 'elite' in the end... "

I for one would like a release to the public of all the records and documents associated with the Vietnam War POW Senate investigation of 1992 and McCain's role if any in suppressing the truth.

If Trump is smart, this should be one of the items on his reelection campaign agenda.

Trump was right all along. Invite or no, he avoided being a part of yet another left-wing funerally.

What an incredible picture!! Three hate filled black men. The only thing that Farrakan has is a belief even though sick and twisted and full of evil. But he has his own spine. The other two are just grifters. Willie on the other hand is a happy sensual narcissist. He’s easy to please. Just give him the possibility of tail and validation coming his way and he’s like a Buddha. Content in his joy of a constantly fulfilled life of sensuality. He’s easy to please. Thus the smile on his face.

I suspect Ivanka has a larger vision. She may have lost the battle. But she will win the war. Just wait. She is not just well mannered and classy. She is very smart and patient.

"I voted for McCain too"

Not me. I voted for Palin, and McCain came along on her coattails.

This is going to backfire worse then the Wellstone memorial/democrat pep-rally. Average, sensible Americans don't hate Trump and have no reason to start hating him.

It's easy to see that our enemies are the one’s vitriolically dumping hatred on the man. My decision to support President Trump is a simple one because of that.

Terrible, though, that Sharptongue would use a slang, racist term for a Latino in his speech…

“Louie looks more healthy than Jesse.”

Yeah, old Jess looks like something warmed up then rejected. And looks being the tell, even being the oldest Louie may outlast them all.
At least three best keep their suits clean and eulogies up to date.

And of course, Calypso Louie was invited, and was shown right next to all the other racist imbeciles whose checks are picked up directly or indirectly by the DNC. Thanks Starman417.

These four guys -- along with the self-proclaimed Bishop Joe Biden -- I mean, Charles H. Ellis III (Biden's at least the Archbishop in that groping world) -- have a different way of spelling the word, and singing that song.

Who's that babe in the mini dress?"

Pretty sure it was from a song by Arethra Franklin. It was during her funeral. I should have mentioned that before.

Amen! Disgusting. I have no use for John McCain but respect for the dead is a basic human tenet.

So, anyone else wonder why McCain isn’t buried in Arlington like his father and grandfather?
