Yep and critics also like to argue that it will cost a lot and be an ugly process to remove them. I counter that it won't if you give them good reason to leave.
Cut off their jobs and illegal aliens would become as scarce as hen's teeth.

Cutting off employment and benefits would encourage a good number to go home on their own.

That should get some legal Americans filing applications.
Who among them would stay? I suspect that the majority of the hangers on would be the criminal element not engaged in legitimate employment. Then law enforcement would have a much easier time dealing with that element.

I don’t know if they make $40/hr, but a DIRTY LITTLE SECRET is that many, perhaps close to half, of the Illegals are highly skilled (they did a damn good job building my house, at least as good as Americans could) - it’s more that they’re not doing jobs Americans won’t do, but more like they’re doing jobs that Americans, thanks to their video-game and Metrosexual lifestyle, CANNOT do, at least short of a SERIOUS change in our culture.
If we do, somehow, get rid of our Illegals, we’ll have a HUGE JOB in this country, just teaching American kids which end of a screwdriver to hold...not to mention making birdmouth cuts.

Absolutely. Tax free, living 5 men to an apartment (in some cases), cost of living winds up being maybe $500/month. So $6k per month to send home, if they choose to live that way.
Not bad, and a LOT MORE than most white collar people can net (thanks to the Jones’, that is).

Even worse - they are now taking high-paying jobs away from Americans...and their attorney is too stupid to understand that....he thinks maybe the only American jobs that should maybe be protected are the peon-wage jobs....
If they're running the same scam as they do up here, the foreman is probably legit, and he's getting a kickback from each worker.
If they're passing I9 audits, that usually means they're also paying off a legal citizen to "rent" his ID and SSN. These rent prices fluctuate with demand in the area. You'll see guys disappear for a while and then come back with a new name because the other guy jacked up the price. If they get found out, the real guy just claims the guy stole his ID. We had a guy come in who claimed he only had a copy of his driver's license, and it was more than obvious that he had simply taped his picture over the original and made a copy of it. Same guy showed up about a month later with a different name and another copied license.
