Few had problems with McCain on this point as both parents were US Citizens and in the military.
I seem to recall that the "party of inclusion", aka the Dumbocrats, raised quite a stink back in 2008 over this. IIRC, it was largely a "tit-for-tat" move against the Republicans rightly challenging "the Zero" on whether he was an NBC. Especially since daddy was never an American citizen, and it's unclear where exactly 0bama was born.
