California was pretty nice in the 40s, 50s, and 60s. I remember thinking how odd it was that there were gangs back in the east. If there were gangs in California, they weren’t in control of much of anything. As a kid I rode the Pacific Electric from Long Beach to L.A., alone and was never bothered even though it made stops in Watts and Willowbrook. California used to be better.
I don’t like any of it at all LOL, But I am anti social, and hate asking for help :)

Just last week I put The Best of the Beach Boys on and headed for the pool. Heard someone singing along with it. Was my older neighbor that lives behind me. He was doing yardwork singing along, loudly, to In My Room. lol
