It really has gotten completely out of hand.

I haven't done a real count, but there must be at least a couple dozen Catholic related threads posted every day - not including those related to the ongoing homo scandal.

That's really not an issue in itself, except for the fact that there are often few, or even no comments on those threads. Seems like a chronic waste of bandwidth.

Addendum:

Ok, I didn’t want feel like I was speaking inaccurately, so I went back a week through the Religion forum and counted the number of threads per day.

There was an average of 23 threads per day posted in the Religion forum during the last seven days. I didn’t try to break out how many were specifically Catholic.

There may have been additional religion-related threads posted in other forums, but I didn’t check for that.

After studying the actual thread counts, I’d say there aren’t as many religion-related posts as it appears, considering the total number of threads posted daily. It works out to about one thread per hour on average.
