Let's pretend the allegations are true.
Let's pretend that while in high school, Judge Brett Kavanaugh got drunk at a party and made a pass at a girl. She fended him off, and was so traumatized for life that she is now a college professor.
So what?
If making an ass of himself disqualifies him for the Supreme Court, then please, let the impeachment hearings begin because he already is on the federal bench.
I want Republicans to have the courage to call the bluff of the Marxists in the Democratic Party.
This could be a watershed moment in American history, because impeaching a sitting judge over something this normal would finally settle whether teenage heterosexuality still is acceptable in the United States of America.
This deserves to be a so what moment in American history.
We will see if Republicans call Democrats on this.
Of course, the allegation is fake. A Marxist professor the same age as Kavanaugh invented a party where he got drunk and made a move on her. We know she is lying because she did not bring this up when he was up for his first judgeship. This is Anita Hill 2.0 and it is just as ugly, just as sinful, and just as big a waste of time.

If a drunken 17 year old boy tried to have sexual contact with a drunken 17 year old girl who went to a room with him, he acted like >80% of boys his age would. Girls do the same to boys, it happens.

It doesn’t matter who is up for nomination. No one should have their adult lifetime achievements and comportment destroyed by a high school misdeed. Logic and reason aren’t much before age 20. But there are plenty of hormones. And in most generations, also a lot of social lubricants.
No one should have ever said anything but “Who cares? Non issue.” To this whole thing. Yes, a boy tonight doing this to a girl is a huge problem and should be dealt with; if it breaks a current law, yes, hit him with it. But we are talking about men and women on the verge of being confirmed or appointed to high office, being stopped by a teenage misdeed over 30 years past. It is just wrong, unless the act was a serious crime, or repeated through his life (like Clinton).
there are a lot of ways of handling this situation, but “even if he did it just like she’s says, who gives a sh*t” is undoubtedly the worst.
A 17 year old boy, with the help of a friend, tries to get the shirt off of a 15 yr old girl and fails. The boy makes no further effort to seduce her.

She alleges that Kavanaugh held her down on a bed in a locked room while he covered her mouth and tried to force himself on her.
She certainly has motivation to lie, and it may all be made up. But, let’s not kid ourselves. If this happened to one of our daughters, it would be a BIG DEAL.

IF this happened to one of our daughters, one would hope she would have the sense of a goose (no disrespect meant to geese) and would have reported it at the time of occurrence, particularly if the young female is so traumatized by the “alleged” sexual assault. It loses GIGANTIC credibility forty years later!

One would hope that AG Sessions dispatched a few US Attorneys to investigate these false claims, in another post He says he didn’t go that party?? Sounds like he knows something and when they demonstrate she is LYING I expect Her and Fineswine to led out in HANDCUFFS and PROSECUTED!
You conveniently left out the part where his buddy goes back and forth between encouraging him and telling him to stop, then the buddy bounces on the bed with them, she bounces up, leaves the locked room unimpeded and they do nothing to stop her.
If I were the father of that 15 yr old girl I’d be mad at her for being there and little more than irritated with the boy. At most I might find him and tell him to stay away from my daughter but that would be little more than hyperventilating since he hadn’t pressed the situation very far and, based on her statement of the incident, would have no reason to think the boy had any intention of ever pursuing her again.
Guaranteed if you called the cops and told them this story they’d tell him “there’s nothing there for us to do, watch your kid better and call us if the boy does anything else.” And they’d laugh when they got off the phone.
Obviously they’re going to pull this stunt on every SCOTUS nominee who might be even slightly conservative from now on.
Soon enough, they’ll pull it on every Republican nominee for anything.
