The FBI knew what they were up to and nothing they did was destroyed. they only thought they destroyed it. They are stupid....................
If you have followed this, it has been understood there was a reason these people were being kept around.
Seeing the nature of the files they were attempting to delete (as the FBI did) has enormous meaning, and it was just one of several reasons they were kept on. That is intelligence and evidence gathering.
Other reasons include the ability to question them and obtain information from them over time as more came out.
