All the polls showed him kicking Cruz’ (then a populist) butt.
Of course we remember what happened.
I just wish Cruz was more visible and accessible. After his first year Cruz has been MIA on the Senate floor (except the shutdown attempt which looked like political theater).
And Cruz is getting a TERRIBLE reputation as completely unavailable to us regular citizens. It is like he is too important to talk to us — even his office doesn’t answer the phone and emails get “box full.”
Someone who was elected as a populist ignores the vox populi at his peril.
But Cruz will mop the floor with bobby tonight so that will help.
