The one reality you fail to recognize however is that most women vote based on what they feel, not what they think.
I am least surprised by the reaction of the Viet nail gal. I walked into my nail place the day after the first Obama election to find each of the Viet nail ladies in tears. No joke. Crying. They said “we are scared of him, we didn’t come to US to have same communist government” (sic)
Yeah I’ve noticed at work, I work at a mid-sized accounting firm, the women seem to be MUCH harder on the accuser than the men. The men for the most part seem to do little more than sat what the talking heads are, “Well, she deserves a chance to tell her side, lets wait for the hearing.” (probably for fear of getting labeled a misogynist if they say otherwise). The women on the other hand, and we are not talking conservative or republican women - these range from moderate to non-political to democrat leaning, are essentially saying she’s either lying or just a nut. I had one women even say she didn’t care if it was true because “what did she expect at 15 going to an boys school party.” (that’s something no man would ever dare say).
I find her anecdote a little suspect, how many members of the general public refer to the Republicans as “the GOP?”
Answer is, very few do.
They ‘nailed’ it.
Most women see through this. Talking heads bring up the priest situation but a priest is an authority figure from childhood. Some guy is not, especially your contemporary.

Mrs Deplorable said that most of her friends (mostly home schooling moms) said Ms Ford is lying. If he did it, she would know the day it happened down to the smallest details.
I think many women, especially those with sons, can empathize with Kavanaugh -— they would not want THEIR sons’ lives ruined by unfair uncorroborated flimsy allegations about anything some girl might levy against them. They would want fairness for their sons. I bet more women feel this way than the media is letting on..
