I really believe Alinskys ideas, ultimately, are very stupid.
Its all based on feeling weak personally, and using ones own desperation to be accepted as ways to force behavior out of others by abusing their needs to be accepted.
It is not radical to want to control people. Its one of the oldest urges on the planet.
