Gallup shows Trump’s Republican Party more enthused than Democrats as year to year numbers climb

Since Donald Trump has stepped up to lead the Republican Party and become its public face, favorability ratings for Republicans have gone up sharply.

Trump’s approval rating is currently 49% which means it could be as high as 59%; yet there were some who doubted his personal popularity can transfer to Republicans in general.

A just released Gallup report has put those doubts to rest.

In the past weeks we have seen solid evidence that, among others, Blacks and Hispanics have moved to support Republicans in Florida, Texas and California.

Gallup's report supports the existence of “the Trump effect,” Democrats have feared.

Gallup reports that just since last September, when the fact that Trump was making good on his promises became clear, support for the Republican Party has risen by 9 points.

Now by 45/44, for the first time since November 2014 when they retook control of the Senate and added to their majority in the House, Republicans are seen more favorably than Democrats.

For almost all of the past decade while Republicans watched their leaderless Party kowtow to Barrack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, favorability of Republicans lagged far behind that of Democrats.

Not anymore; consider this eye popping data.

From the report, “The percentage of Republicans and [Independent]leaners with favorable views of their party grew from 67% last September to 85% now.”

This is compared to Democrats and Independent leaners staying exactly flat at 80% last year and 80% this year.

This is enthusiasm that cannot be denied:Here’s how important these Gallup numbers are.

At one point, just 5 years ago the spread was a ghastly 43/28!

Enter Donald Trump.

What the Gallup report says is simple:Voters like what Donald Trump is doing and their affection for Trump can and is transferring to Republicans in general specifically Republican candidates.

In contrast to Trump’s success which is attributable to the quality of his leadership, the Democrats are now led by Bernie Sanders Alexandria Ocsio Cortez and fellow travelers.

Voters are showing they know the difference and favor Trump's brand of Republicanism.

Group after group has turned toward the Trump Republican Party.

Since last year, Democrats have lost support among; women losing 6 points in this head to head.

What was a 14 point Democrat lead is now an 8 point Democrat lead.

A year ago Gallup reported 40% of men saw Democrats favorably and 37% felt the same toward Republicans.

That lead is all gone and then some as 50% of men now see Republicans favorably; giving the GOP a 50/41 lead and a 12 point turn around with men.

Note these numbers are moving toward the numbers that propelled Trump to victory in 2016.

Among the middle class the Republican favorability rating has flipped and shown a a very impressive 15 point turn around.

What was a 46/36% lead for Democrats is now a 49/45% lead for Republicans.

Even at the extreme ends of the income scale, among the poorest and richest, Trump’s Republican Party’s small gains have the Democrats moving in the wrong direction.

Let the liars try to spin this as they will; but this is great news for America.

Add this to Gallup finding just 12% worried about the economy and Harris finding 85% are satisfied with their own household economy and this is makes a very nice picture for November.

Were these polls taken before the political smear campaign against Judge Kavanaugh began? I can’t believe that any of that is helping Democrats politically.

“Were these polls taken before the political smear campaign against Judge Kavanaugh began? I can’t believe that any of that is helping Democrats politically.”

The survey went from Sept 8 to Sept 12 so it included two weekend days which traditionally help Democrats and I agree none of the vicious attacks on Judge Kavanaugh will improve these numbers and probably will make them worse for Democrats.

“They should be hiding in shame for what their leaders are doing.”

For me it’s what their leaders are NOT doing.

They should nationally address the horrific behavior of those that confront Republicans having dinner with the family, the Ted Cruz incident being the most recent one.

They have NEVER addressed the problem of just plain respect for the office of the president———the Hollywood crowd being the worst offenders.

Disgusting behavior.

They are encouraging it actually. Look at how they are encouraging these fake accusers, with no evidence. They are going full Alinsky, no facts, no intelligence, just emotion and mob rule. I don’t see this ending in anything but violence. Stupid people, we have all the guns and skills :-) they will start it, but they won’t like the way it ends.

It’s getting closer to the election. They have to have some reason the “Blue Wave” failed.

Trends count.

This trend says that the Republican Party has found a populist leader, the first one since Ronald Reagan, who is advancing solid conservative policies and ideas. People who like what he is doing are leaving the Democrat Party and beginning to support the Republicans, exactly what happened during the Reagan Administration.

The other trend that we can see is apparent over there in Democrat Land. Irrational behavior from Progressives who are abandoning traditional Democrat ideas and embracing Socialism. They have taken over the National party leadership and now control a number of Blue states on the margins of the United States. Old habits are heard to break, but the Blue Collar solid Democrats are drifting away faster than a broken water main. They won’t come back leaving the Democrats with Left wing elitists, government union workers, and 1st generation immigrants (who vote at a very low rate).

I like both trends.
