It’s just so cringy and try-hard. Who is the audience for this show? I guess it’s literally the show’s original audience, just decades later.

For me, "Murphy Brown" was the show that ended a tradition. Growing up, the television would generally be turned on at 6:00 PM and remain on until Steve Allen or the Tonight Show was over; after I started my own family, much the same thing applied albeit ending a bit earlier.
I watched MB simply because it was on, but paid enough attention to it to notice that it launched a lot better than it flew... the "glide path" began early in the flight, so to speak. After a couple of years, it was basically white noise for me, but one particular episode of it some time in the '90's made me turn the television off rather than change the channel, and from that night on, "continuous television" disappeared from my life.
We cut the cable a few years back, and in a way, I can credit Candace Bergen and Joe Regalbuto for pulling the idiot box's plug. Candy, Joe, thank you...
Now go get stuffed and take Hillary Clinton with you.

I will not ever watch a feminazi show.

When is the relaunching of the Captain Kangaroo
Show, they can save money on costumes,Hillary has the whole line

The only thing I liked from the original "Murphy Brown" show was Eldon the Painter, but the character who played him died.
To: kevcol
Given that show is being set up to be a liberal resistance platform, it would be funny if they get Colin Kaepernick to cameo as her secretary on an episode.

So a show about a fake newsroom where everyone hates Trump, I thought CNN is already doing thus.

One story or rumour I heard about MB was that in recent years, Antennae or METV or some other such TV nostalgia channel tried to bring it back and it did very poorly, given the very topical nature of the show plus the very arrogant and obnoxious personality of the main character. At least Rowan and Martin skewed or satirized a wide breadth of things and people regardless of political leanings and was genuinely funny.

i wanted to see the train wreck that it is and was... they harp on telling the truth, but spill the same old lies that make up the left’s arguments.
perpetuating the lies.
it is sad and will not survive the year.

How true; a `silver back’ is an elderly male gorilla.
That pic of not one but two leftwing widebodies speaks volumes.

I liked the show back in the day. It was funny. But I am not going to be tuning in to the updated show ... it will be too unbearably far-left wing political.

Holy smoke! Heavy set women should never be photographed in profile. Hillary’s pantsuit at least attempts to camouflage her butt; Candice’s could use its own ZIP code.
But always remember, if a liberal hates Pres. Trump, then heeshee hates every one who voted for him. This isn’t the Murphy Brown of 1990 who occasionally schmoozed with conservatives; her character is now defined by pure hate.
