Mary Tyler Moore was barely 80 when she died. She had Type 1 but kept herself healthy all her life, she really worked at it. Sotomayor looks very unhealthy, and if she is passing out due to blood sugar issues, she is no MTM. I’d say age 69 is optimistic in her case.
MT Moore was always lean. With the Puerto Rican diet and those genes, Sotomoyer has likely always been fat. She likely is in her final years now.
She should be WISE enough to realize her odds and step down to enjoy the short years remaining.
