The funniest thing is- Brett Kavanaugh is a moderate-centrist, a long-time Bushie who grew up an Inside-the-Beltway preppie, an Ivy League graduate, and probably felt more at home with Democrats than Conservatives.

Now, because they tried to destroy him, he's going to become their worst nightmare, a Hangin' Judge who'll laugh maniacally when Maxine Waters gets waterboarded.

Amen. Kavanaugh USED to be the exact sort of Republican that the Democrats liked. One of “us”. The Party. A well respected judge on the DC Circuit who wasn’t a bomb thrower, etc.

Now they’ve turned him into next-gen Clarence Thomas. Thomas has been a full throttled conservative who clearly remembers the disgraceful confirmation process he was forced to endure. He doesn’t say it publicly - but every opinion he writes serves as an upthrust middle finger to the people who put him through the process.

Moderates don't operate that way. He will make us frustrated more than a few times during his tenure on the Bench.

The funniest thing is- Brett Kavanaugh is a moderate-centris

We will have to come up with a new term to describe the idiocy of the Democrat, "Phyrric Defeat" maybe? Judge K was picked because he was the one guy who was centerist enough they thought they could get him thur an evenly divided US Senate. Now they not only lost the fight but have completly pissed off what was a divided and apathetic GOP voter base. So the NEXT Justice is probably going to go to a 55-45 GOP Senate because the seats they are now going to lose. Lost the fight, shredded their political standing with voters and have crippled their chance to stop the next Justice Trump nominates. There has never been a win here for the Dems. Corker and Flake are GONE in Jan 2019. The next Senate is going to be more Trumpian and far less moderate. The next Justice will be to the right of Judge K politically and there will not be a thing they can do to stop it.

Yeah, it was all well and good until the Democrats tried to screw over the "Uniparty".

They didn't realize that the Dems would be the ones the Uniparty voted off the island.

“The funniest thing is- Brett Kavanaugh is a moderate-centrist, a long-time Bushie who grew up an Inside-the-Beltway preppie, an Ivy League graduate, and probably felt more at home with Democrats than Conservatives.”

On social issues, though, Kennedy was a radical leftist. He wrote the Texas Sodomy decision (lawrence v texas) and the Homosexual marriage decision, for example.

Replacing Kennedy with a moderate centrist probably won’t reverse the bad stuff the Court has already done on the social issues. But it will be a complete halt to the Court continuing to serve as the fist of Che Guevara’s revolution on social issues (unless Roberts goes south and becomes the new swing vote).

Also, in terms of the out-of-control lower court Obamajudges who seem to declare everything Trump does as unconstitutional and enjoin it, we may well see them get reined in hard. That’s a big deal because even if it gets reversed on appeal because it’s obviously wrong, the Trump agenda is delayed by years. I’m thinking Kavanaugh will be in no mood to be a nice guy to the hard left judges below.

And, their dream of confiscating our guns just died for many years. Had they been able to keep the court 4-4 until power changes hands, they could have piecemealed us state by state with no effective appeal to a court that would impose order on second amendment issues.

So it’s kind of a big deal.
