And I suppose that’s fair enough: There was no formal Never Trump “leader.” But Romney, as the reigning GOP nominee and the person who delivered the most scathing anti-Trump speech by a Republican during the 2016 cycle, was the closest thing to one. In fact, I take his denial to be aimed not so much at the claim that he led Never Trumpers as at the idea that he even was a Never Trumper.

Mitt never “led” anything, but merely followed the newspaper poll readings wherever they wandered.

You remember he had a bunch of ‘never trumpers’ up to his place in Park City Utah during the election...he (in my honest belief was behind Cruz trying to take away the 40 delegate votes that we fought for and got back for Our President then candidate Trump) and don’t forget Mike Lee our other (ahem) Senator was right there against Candidate Trump; then all of a sudden here is the lost McDonald’s McMuffin running around Utah thinking he was greater than gold (another one of Rat Romney’s ideas) and the carpetbagging idiot thinks he represents this State...the only thing he represents is himself and wants so hard to vote NO on everything Our President wants to do to Make America Great Again...if you ask me, which no one has, he needs to be run out of Utah and any other State in this United States on a RAIL!!!
