Have No Doubt: The Left is Dead Serious About This Election
Vanity | October 23, 2018 | Behind the Blue Wall

Posted on 10/22/2018 7:39:55 PM PDT by Behind the Blue Wall

I'm feeling increasingly optimistic about the midterm elections, but I just wanted to toss out one particular data point for anyone who might not be making absolutely sure that they are going to get their vote recorded on November 6.

I work for a nonprofit conservation organization based in San Francisco. As you might expect, the leadership and the employees (excluding yours truly of course!) are nearly all liberal. Last week, for the first time ever, we decided to close all of our offices on Election Day for a paid holiday so that our employees can not only vote, but also volunteer in election day activities.

I cast the lone dissenting executive team vote against doing so, and as the organization's in-house counsel, I attached to the announcement a very stern warning about keeping our organization out of partisan politics. But the broader message was crystal clear: this election is unlike any other in the past, and as an organization, we are doing everything in our power to impact the outcome. We also registered our organization along with hundreds of other corporations both for- and non-profit who have done the same or similar things.

I don't know that it will have a huge impact. The employees of my organization are the kinds of people who probably never fail to vote, and in any event, most of them live in deep blue states and congressional districts far from the swing districts that will determine this election. But still, even a few marginal votes, multiplied across may different companies all across the country, are going to have an effect.

It's just one data point, and by all indications, it's not only liberals who are fired up about this election as hasn't been seen in many years. But please, if you have any doubt about whether you'll make it to the polls on November 6, get those plans in place to make sure that you do!

A Democrat only vote three times?

given the current situation, I have no problem with dems over-performing in deep blue regions.
let them knock themselves out
for now

You must really have to keep an eye on your back, that’s some work situation.
I have to say that I have ditched every last liberal friend I may have ever had.
I’m voting today and I don’t trust the mailman, I take it to the nearest collection box.
I have to trust the system at some point.
Washington State has a mail in ballot system.
It has to be wrought with fraud, dead voters etc.

If I had to predict, I’d guess that’s what’s going to happen here. There “blue wave” will absolutely flood the deep blue districts, but barely touch red and swing districts. But there are a number of races where a big turnout in a blue area will have be offset by equally big turnouts in red areas, and so we cannot be complacent.

I just keep my mouth shut about politics, but yeah, it can be tricky to navigate at times!

Due to the expected large volume of voters, and the hate that exists between DEMS and REPUBLICANS due to Trump, the Judge in Hawaii has announced that Republicans have to vote on the 6th, and DEMS will then vote on the 9th.

This will enable the DEMS to see how many extra votes they need, and give the poor and downtrodden DEMS more of a chance to vote.

SO, if you plan to vote DEM, be sure to vote on Nov. 9th. Tell all your liberal friends to vote on the 9th. You all sure stuck it to Trump again. He is powerless to keep you all from voting on the 9th.

I voted at the County drop box. The online system tells me that my ballot was accepted and will be counted.

I just wave and smile at the campaigners waving signs on so many street corners.

I will go to the polling place myself if I have to crawl on broken glass.

I do NOT trust mail in ballots.

Well, they better turn out for him. He’s not on the ticket but ALL his policies are!

I love the “Trump Factor”, it makes all the polling indecipherable, but I love it!

Just an FYI.

According to the Orange County Registrar of Voters Website, Absentee Ballots are the first to be counted on Election Day.

I always thought they were the last to be counted. Must have just been an Urban Myth. LOL

“I’m going on Election Day. Screw early voting”

I used to be the same way about early voting. But nowadays I don’t even buy green bananas. I voted on first day of early voting, and took an ailing relative along too. I know they’re a conservative and might not have had someone to take them later
