The beauty of it is, the evil media have constantly adv repeated attacked President Trump in the mist vicious manner possible without breaking for close to two years, and his current approval rating is still the highest in his presidency. It’s like getting a vaccination. President Trump is now immune to the deranged mainstream media attacks that will come in 2020. Nobody with any sense believes the media anymore
What I appreciate about Cruz’s prediction isn’t the prediction (like you said it isn’t a stretch to predict that) - it’s the humility it must take for Cruz to let go of his butt hurt over getting beat by Trump - and leave their differences in the past.
Cruz could be acting like a Romney, a McCain or a JEB!, and continue to be driven by resentment and envy - instead he seems to be driven by a genuine love of country.
Cruz was never my choice for nominee. I didn’t think he’d have nearly a wide enough appeal to win a general election - and I still don’t.
But I admire his ability to see past the 2016 contest and recognize that Trump has turned out to be as conservative a POTUS, and as masterful a commander and chief, as anyone could ever have hoped.
I appreciate Cruz’s support - it takes a big man to fully support a man who just 2 years ago gave him an epic beat down.
