Senate flips 58-42 Republican.

Can't "flip" what we already control. Strengthen -- yes, flip -- no.

About redistricting: that happened to me in PA-18 Congressional district, which is still reeling from the shock of having our majority red suburban district carved up and thrown in with a city of Pittsburgh district, blue of course, which means they got all the numbers and my Republican vote is diluted with no more power to elect a Republican in my district. I live eight miles from the city, I live in the suburbs not the city, I did not go to a city school, so why am I lumped in with the city? I asked one of our local Republican leaders who shrugged and said, Elections have consequences.

Democratic Governor Tom Wolf got in by hammering the public with a year's worth of campaign ads about the shale drilling companies not paying their fair share. (They were paying a lot but it's never enough for the Democrats and besides, under Obama a lot of the shale oil drilling in western PA decreased compared to under the Republican administrations, so there was less output and less to tax.) So for every Republican who got suckered by the 'hate the rich' argument and wanted to stick it to big business, thanks a lot.
