Brazil just elected a President who is much like Trump.

Their last President ran on “free medical for all”.

Brazil has over 100 million people.

We have over 330 million.

Brazil is economically upside down with paying for free medical for everyone-—AND for giving the poorest a monthly stipend.

There may be a degree of truth here. By the time the one size fits all single payer system authorizes any expensive procedure, a good percentage of the patients will have expired and the cost to the system is $0.
