Beto’s consolation prize: Running for president
Politicoi ^ | November 7, 2018 | Ben Schreckinger

Beto O’Rourke dodged a bullet. The Texas congressman came dangerously close to beating Ted Cruz on Tuesday.

Lest his groupies wallow for long in defeat, they should know there’s a lot for them to like about his loss: No getting bogged down in the drudge-work of a freshman senator in the minority or obligation to fulfill his duty to serve out his term.

And, to O’Rourke’s credit, there was no blowout, a fate that would have extinguished his star. Indeed, he showed an unapologetic liberal could compete and almost win in Texas.

He was in the House of representatives for six years and has virtually no record there either. He is a complete Fraud.

We won’t have Beto O’Rourke to kick around anymore.

Hey Beto, you just wasted 100 million bucks of Democrat donor money losing in Texas, what are you going to do next.

Why, run for President, of course.

Most people would just go to Disney Land

It obvious this guy has never held a serious public office, but has he even ever held a real job

“If Beto cannot win Texas, with its liberal cities of Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Round Rock, San Marcos, Austin, El Paso, and Fort Worth, Beto cannot win in America.”

Pretty sure he won all of those.

“He is missing the main feature of the Kennedy’s. Having sex with women not their wife and kicking them to the curb or offing them.”

No, he did plenty of that, too.

I suspect its just that nobody's written the articles yet.

Sure why not he has accomplished as much as any dim..honestly most of them are interchangeable.

It is mainly based on his looks and image. Funny thing. The DEMs criticize others for making judgments based on appearances, yet have no problem dropping their panties for the likes of Beto. SMH.

Beto lost.

Texas voters rejected him.

He is finished.

He will not run for office again.

LOL. He raises money like the kenyan, skateboards like Clinton played the sax, drinks like a Kennedy and since he lost won’t have beltway swamp stink on him.

He’s the odds on favorite for the Dem nom, IMO.

Beto is for big gov't...period. On the economy:

"Promote policies that encourage companies to focus on returning investments back to their consumer, their employees, and to the community.

Lower the barrier to entry for small businesses so that every entrepreneur or emerging growth company can have an opportunity to be successful.

Promote regulations that protect consumers, promote competition and grow the economy.

Support stronger antitrust regulations that break up monopolies and trusts that stifle competition and innovation."

What monopolies and trusts aren't already regulated? These are all just platitudes that makes dumb people say: "Yeah...stick it to the rich!" No details on implementation...all sizzle, no steak. Go look at his web site and his positions: https://betofortexas.com/issue/economy. Compare his platform with that of Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro...not much difference. The result:

“Pretty sure he won all of those.:

Yes, Beto won all those cities, but if those big cities were not enough to put Beto over the top, he won’t be able to win the states required to win a national election.

Some are arguing that he had no intention of winning. His goal was to get the infrastructure set up for 2020. This really does explain a lot of weird stuff, not least of which was the tone and words in his “concession” speech.

We underestimate this dirtbag at our peril. Pair him up with Gillum add in an almost certain Kamikaze GOPe “3rd party” run and the 2020 POTUS race will start to look a lot like 1992. . We know how that turned out.

You got a better name for the Dems? Spartacus? 80 year old Slow Joe? The Dems do not have a deep bench and a Beta/Gillum ticket checks a lot of boxes off. Beta gets suburban women vote and HBC educated Gillum gets the blacks all wee wee’d up in battleground states: FL, GA, NC, etc. Once Gillum gets the Deep State to bury his felonies, of course. Do not underestimate that. It’s far more appealing than the likes of Pocahontas. Guaranteed.

#5: "A figurehead, as was Obama. Merely another face behind which the cynical syndicate of Maoists hide, while they continue their mission to destroy America."

Perfect assessment. You nailed it. He's the front man for the evil syndicate.

Beto can’t even win his home state.

Look a Loving County, one of the largest and most famous counties in all of Texas.

Beto only got 4 votes in Loving County!
