Americans already distrust the mainstream media (MSM). A January 16, 2018 Gallup Poll found that distrust of the news media has soared in recent decades, from 25% of U.S. adults in 1989 to 45% today saying there was a great deal of political bias in news coverage. 66% of Americans say that news media “do not do a good job” of “separating fact from opinion” (86% of Republicans; 44% of Democrats).
And no wonder.
Did you know that a study by Indiana University professors Lars Willnat and David H. Weaver found that in 2013, only 7.1% of full-time U.S. journalists identified themselves as Republicans? In fact, the percentage of Republican journalists continues to decline — from 25.7% in 1971, to 18.8% in 1982, to 16.4% in 1992, to 7.1% by 2013. No doubt the percentage is even less than 7.1% in 2018.

Me too and I’m tired of making myself sick. I’m tired of debating with people online, in the office, at parties, etc. These people are so brainwashed it’s unbelievable. I used facts, figures and FBI stats, historical facts, etc and it always ends with “ racist——Bible thumper——privileged, etc”. The truth is right there, clear as day, but if they close their eyes does it even matter?
I apologize if I sound deflated, but I am. I need to reply on God and whatever happens will happen. I will continue to do good in the face of fascism. I know I’m not alone, I have Christ. I’m just tired....

What does the media think of We the People?
If Americans are so distrustful of the media, then why is it still instrumental in propagandizing these fools?
When I watch FOX I don’t get the impression that the hosts think I am really stupid.
I haven’t believed a thing from the MSM for years. I used to work in a job where I handled TS and higher intelligence information. Even when things were obvious and out in the open the MSM would turn ANYTHING even just possibly bad into conservatives trying to destroy the world.
Just like politicians, if their mouth is moving they are lying. The bast$#ds can twist anything.
“Turn Against.” What the hell does that mean? Does it mean they’ll stop? Does it mean there will be less of them? Apparently not. They just keep on. Diversified, liberal run parent corporate owners like Bezos, Time Warner and the alphabet networks keep their news departments operating like they were charities or non-profits with a sacred cause.
Their ongoing dismal ratings dive hasn’t seemed to reduce their numbers, affect their content or the their fury of endless criticism, outright lies and propaganda. We need our own Soros, or consortium of freedom-loving donors, who can fund a counter effort on a commensurate scale as the left. One that raises the profile of conservative information outlets and also includes hard opposition on the ground that will outfight the rising tide of an overtly violent and proudly immoral people.

NO you are not alone. I am growing very weary now. At 77 years old all I can do is remember where we were as a nation and where we are now, with little hope for our media. Fox News is just as bad as the rest!
Yanked my cable yesterday - to save money and sanity. Cut my land line phone - only keeping the internet to get all my news from FR;)

Same here. The fact that most people are just brain-dead, brainwashed, or plain ignorant is why I have given up to most now about the facts.
The amount of times I have heard people say”Are you sure as it has not been reported”. I go into the break room for CNN to be on and see the usual 3 or 4 idiots watching it as if that was the truth, and the sad part is that they leave the break room repeating the CNN lies as if they are knowledgeable.
You can present all the facts in the world or better still ask them why they resist a great economy, NK on hold, Remains coming home, ISIS smashed etc etc and they just look at you and cannot answer, except to say Trump is evil, racist, hates women, bla bla bla.
I haven’t watched FF in ages, but I’m surprised to hear about Brian Kilmede. He was always very conservative. What’s up with that?
