What We Can Expect With a Democrat-Marxist Controlled House of Representatives….
The Conservative Treehouse/The Last Refuge ^ | November 8, 2018 | Sundance

Posted on 11/13/2018 1:05:55 PM PST by Ancesthntr

CTH has received multiple requests for a review of predictable consequences as a result of the midterm election. Thankfully, and perhaps unfortunately, we have solid references to base these predictions on – because there’s a solid frame of reference from the 2006 midterm and the subsequent consequences we saw in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010.

If we take the empirical 2006 example as the starting point and overlay the 2018 landscape to modernize the predictive model, what results is a most likely scenario.

First, any intellectually honest review must overlay the current political environment. In 2018 the scale of unchecked lawless behavior is a significant influence toward the differences we can expect from the last time Democrat/Marxists held congressional power. The term “Democrat-socialism”, in essence a Marxist approach, is now the dominant fuel within the professional DNC political operations.

When the Democrats last held power in 2006, their actionable objective was toward a far-left, Saul Alinsky-type aggressive tone and influence; however, there was a need to couch that intention as they positioned Senator Barack Obama for the 2008 presidential election.

In 2006 the radicals, needed to downplay their radicalism. In 2018 the severity and aggression of the left, as assisted by the dropping of all media pretense, no longer needs to hide the intention. When Democrat-Marxists take control in January of 2019 they no longer need to couch the extremism, the American electorate have been prepped.

Secondly, it cannot be overstated how violent and confrontational the House of Representatives will be as soon as they are sworn in. They will work with an immediate purposeful intention. All political violence will be approved to attain their objectives. The recent behavior of Jim Acosta (CNN media), and ANTIFA toward Tucker Carlson, is now, and will be going forward, the new normal.

There will be extreme political violence.

In 2006 it was the SEIU and AFSCME union foot-soldiers who smashed windows, advanced upon polling places and engaged in the most severe examples of voter fraud and intimidation. In 2018, with the help of uber-Alinsky DNC Chairman Tom Perez, that corrupt sentiment is now institutionalized within democrat-socialist political apparatus. ANTIFA is now the DNC grassroots activist approach.

Failing to accept the severity of this shift in the past decade is intellectually dishonest. As Nancy Pelosi said of the Occupy Wall Street violent anarchists: “God bless these people.” Indeed the OWS precursor to ANTIFA were laying the groundwork for the new severity of power in Democrat leadership. Nothing is out-of-bounds; no level of corrupt behavior will be avoided; everything will happen openly and without any backlash from a compliant media apparatus; the social fabric will be shredded.

The Democrat mantra: “never let a crisis go to waste” is the modern version of the Fabian-Socialist: “remould it closer to the heart’s desire“. Both approaches rely upon the destruction of acceptable norms in order to advance the political objective.

♦Specifics: When Democrats last took power in January 2007, Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer took control in the final two years of George Bush second term. Immediately they set about a process laying the groundwork for the 2008 presidential election of Barack Obama. This was a priority objective.

One of the techniques was the removal of the budget process. By eliminating the federal budget process in 2007 (fiscal year ’08) the Democrats paved the way for the next democrat president to demand massive open-ended spending.

By the time the year of the general election came around (2008), the lengthy budget process was replaced with Omnibus spending bills (fiscal year 2009). Obviously when Obama was successfully installed in November of 2008, the useful crisis was financial. The subsequent TARP bailout, auto bailout, ARRA ($1 trillion stimulus) and QE1 were all accomplished with massive omnibus spending packages.

[NOTE: These are important references because from that moment forward, despite the GOP taking back control in January 2011, the constraining budgetary process was forever destroyed. There was never regular-order budgetary spending again.]

It is also critical to emphasize the difference between Democrats taking control in the last two years of Bush’s second term, and Democrats taking control in the last two years of Trump’s first term. Within this difference you will predictably see a shift in strategic operations from the Marxists.

George W Bush was exiting, and unlimited spending was used to empower the entry of Obama; however, now the Marxists need to knee-cap President Trump by weaponizing the power of the purse – the biggest weapon of the House of Representatives.

After a ten year UniParty hiatus the Marxists will now go back to using budgets in the structural defunding and dismantling of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), the Southern Border Wall, and any program, initiative, policy or institution the Marxists want to see removed. This is a strategy of the Democrat crisis-makers; and they are exceptionally better at achieving their desired results than Republicans.

When it comes to political weaponization and political power constructs the Marxists have exceptional work ethics; they will outwork anyone on the other side who opposes them. They are far, far, better at political strategy and scheme than conservative politicians. Part of the reason for their success is that crooks, cons and swindlers are far more cunning than honorable, virtuous and moral people. It is unfortunate, but true; and the same truth applies beyond politics.

♦ Two other thoughts on this issue. First, you might remember when this massive spending, and the government takeover of healthcare, led to the Marxists losing the 2010 midterm election in a massive defeat. But do you remember what the democrats did in the lame-duck congress between November 2010 and January 2011?

Does the term “Porkulous” ring a bell?

While 63 democrat seats were lost in the November 2010 election (and six democrat senate seats), those exiting Marxists, despite just having suffered the worst defeat in almost 100 years, audaciously –and apologetically– voted in the December 2010 lame-duck session, to fully fund President Obama’s next two years in office. This was done by Speaker Nancy Pelosi specifically to block the incoming GOP wave from upending the priorities of the Obama administration in 2011. That was called the “Porkulous” spending bill; and the democrat-marxists didn’t give a snit about how it looked.

Now, do you think Speaker Paul Ryan will do anything as bold to fund and secure the budgetary priorities of President Donald Trump in this lame-duck?

Secondly, about the overall unilateral commitment and cunning historically displayed by the Marxists. They are so committed to the long-term view they are willing to sacrifice anything for the biggest, most consequential, advances toward their objectives. In 2010 the democrats killed their own “blue-dog” coalition to advance their ideological goals.

Within the 63 House seats the Marxists lost in that 2010 midterm election; they killed off the entire 40 member Bart Stupak coalition; the blue-dog caucus. Totally willing to sacrifice 40 seats to attain a generational ideological objective (ObamaCare); and they are about to step back into power a mere eight years later. Stunning when you think about it.

In my opinion few reading this have any idea just how bad these next two years are going to be. It’s not your fault. We are the normal people who don’t spend every moment of our day scheming, conniving, and developing plans to dismantle the lives of your freedom loving community and rebuild it as a collective society. For these Marxists who are about to take power that’s all they do. Every moment of their existence they spend thinking about how to gain power and dominate, 24/7/365 that’s all they do.

Lastly, future predictions: Michael Bloomberg will be the Democrat/Marxist nominee for 2020. There will be a field of candidates; but the professional Democrat machine will run the splitter strategy, and the back-room crowd who really control the elements of power have already pre-selected their nominee, Michael Bloomberg. Marxists always have the plan mapped out well in advance. (A woman will be the VP nominee)

If you start now looking at what actions the Marxists are taking, through the prism of their goal being President Michael Bloomberg, lots of things will make a lot more sense.

Yes, they will do to the Trump administration what they did to Palin as Governor of Alaska.

Total paralysis by countless and endless law suits and investigations.

I think the DNC insiders knew exactly what they were getting with Obama. That’s why they engineered his nomination instead of heir apparent Hillary.

What we DO about it is:

1) Share articles like this which show the past history of what the enemy (and, YES, they ARE the enemy) has done, and some kind of coherent and logical prediction of what they are likely to try to do;

2) Get motivated, and get others of reasonably similar mindset motivated, to stop the Bolshevization of this country. That means lots of talking, which means that you need an opening line or subject on which to begin the discussion (like, for instance, this article or others like it).

3) Get registered to vote, get others of like mind to register, and actually vote in 2020. If we cannot even do a simple thing like that, which costs very little, involves no risk and takes very little effort, then we’re lost, we’re DONE.

4) Get in shape, get armed and get well-practiced with your firearms. Hopefully, being in shape will merely be used to extend the quality and quantity of your life, and getting skilled with firearms will just be an interesting, and somewhat expensive hobby. If things actually do turn to crap, with the Bolshies winning in 2020, then being in shape and having those skills will be necessary.

4A) Have friends, CLOSE friends, who do the same and with whom there is a high level of trust. Best case, you’ll be closer with your friends; worst case, these people and you will support and possibly save each other.

DP, we are at war. Yes, right now it is not a shooting war (although Steve Scalise might disagree), but it is a war for the heart and soul of this country, and for its future. My grandfather witnessed such a war for HIS country (Russia, during and after WW1), and saw his family, their peace and their comfort utterly destroyed. What he didn’t see, and didn’t know about until 1969, was that the NKVD goons had murdered his father in 1937. The rest he knew - how miserable their lives were, how they had no freedom, no choices of consequence in their lives. Unfortunately, he died over a decade before the wall fell in Berlin and 15 years before the USSR collapsed. I see the exact same thing happening here if we don’t stop these bastards - and the same thing because Stalin and the NKVD seeded our universities and newspapers with agents to influence our society over the long term...and it is clearly working.

Doom and gloom? Yeah, maybe. But if we do nothing then we’re going to have what happened to Russia a century ago happen here. The details will be different, of course, but it will be indistinguishable for the average person.

The GOP needs to start passing bills in the House immediately to get the Dems on record on a number of issues.

I think Trump needs to make sure spending bills are small so he can veto most of their mischief.

Instead of two-year spending bills, two-month spending bills.

Dogs are supposed to be leashed for a reason.

The Democrat Party is controlled by people who are not wise enough to nominate a seemingly non-partisan billionaire like Bloomberg in 2020. They'll go instead with someone like Kamala Harris, thinking she can magically resurrect the Obama coalition. After she loses soundly and the party finishes gouging its eyeballs out over the prospect of four more years of Trump, they will finally get smart and realize they will never be able to advance their collectivist dream to its conclusion without a telegenic (and preferably white) male leading the charge.

They will nominate someone like Gavin Newsom for 2024, and the MSM will give him the full Beto/Gillum/Sinema treatment and cover for any shortcomings. California may lie in ruins by that time, but it will not matter - the media will take careful shots of Apple's still-standing HQ building and tell everyone that Newsom built it by hand in his spare time.

Good post. The left are the same here, across the world, and throughout history...
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” ― Aleksandr I. This is a very cogent article, with many of the conclusions practically immune from argument (except the last conclusion, for which there is still plenty of room for argument). The next two years are going to be sheer Hell - they will be a disastrous two years of growing - even violent - conflict. The Marxists will try to herd us into submission. Trump will face a furor of opposition unlike anything we have witnessed in our lifetimes.

We will all be lucky to survive 2020...let alone survive with an entact Republic.

I believe you’re right on the money.

Except, I also believe we can vote all we want... we have NO party who cares what WE want. We no longer have a government of representation; rather, we seem to elect our rulers, unfortunately.

Seriously, who of us are going to take up arms for ourselves? Seriously.

Because THAT is what it will take to prevent us from going the way you described your ancestors’ Russia. We are going there and then some very soon.

It is often said that if voting really decided anything, they wouldn’t let us do it. I don’t subscribe to that view - but I do understand that wholesale reversals in direction are just about impossible. That is partly by design - note the staggered terms of the President, House and Senate - so as to prevent the public from making tremendous changes in the heat of passion (and that can work both ways). Partly it is because we have almost always been divided - perhaps it is just more evident now because of 24/7 news plus the internet.

The Left realized a LONG time ago that changing things to their advantage would take decades, perhaps even a century - and then they proceeded to start their project (with not a little help from Comrade Stalin and his NKVD). Over the last 25 years or so, it has been bearing fruit for them, and it isn’t slowing down. If we are to hope to restore this country to anything even remotely like what it was 50, 75 or 100 years ago (in terms of self-reliance and the role of government), then WE have to do the same...if we can. Just like the Left, those on our side who begin the process will never see the results...but we must start it or our posterity is doomed. If the US falls to Communism (whatever label is actually used is meaningless - the policies will be the same), then what country will play our role? What country CAN play our role?

So, in the meantime, keep voting, if only to slow down the slide and give us the breathing room to begin getting rid of this bacillus of Leftism that has infected our nation.

A ‘sensible’ white female is their best bet. Not sure who that is, but then nobody knew Obama in 2006. College educated, suburban, probably midwestern or western, professional, possibly not a politician, 48-54 years old, married w/kids, who spews the liberal line only in gentler Ellen/Oprah speak not The View speak. Women will flock to vote for her as will many men who have grown up working for similar women. The contrast to Trump will be stark for those who elected the democrats to the House. Urban/suburban single, educated liberal/moderate women 21-55 y/o. Add in the abnormal sector of the electorate the LBGTQ folk, blacks, Hispanics and Asian and you easily have 55% of the vote and 300+ electoral votes. Expect FL, AZ, NC, OH, PA, MI and WI to all go or go back to democrat in 2020.

There are not enough old white folk who remember and cherish what made this country so great and special left. The schools and media have accomplished their goals. As Rush said today the young people want us dead so they can usher in their new Marxist utopia. I’ve heard as much in my own family.

Trump was an anomaly. He was the right person running at the right time against the right opponent. The democrats won’t make that mistake again. They will hand pick a winning candidate. No Harris, Booker, Sanders or Warren, and definitely no one named Clinton. Beto maybe, but I still go with my description above, whoever that person is.

Sadly folks the great experiment is over. We have not just become the country of Nancy and Maxine. Worse we have become the country of Ocasio-Cortez.

There is one difference. We let them succeed in the long march through the institutions. I watcheded it happen. The free speech movement, affirmative action, being brow beat into accepting all sorts lf perversion as normal, political correctness and multiculturalism. It took years for those things to bear fruit, but we did nothing to kill them in the cradle because we wanted to be liked and after all it couldn’t happen here. Someone once said that we played checkers while the Russians played chess. I think that is true in terms of conservatives and the Left. When we fight we fight one thing at a time. They fight on all front at once and are in for the long haul. We win we relax. They lose they regroup, and if they win the double down on the next step towards the goal. And they have a goal. Our goal was the status quo, theirs was total revolution and overturning society. We played defense they were constantly on offense. They won’t give us that luxury of nibbling away at their gains. They will destroy anyone who does not toe the line in academia or the media. There will be no conservative long march.

While I share a lot of your pessimism, that will not stop me from fighting to the best of my abilities. We as a group need to get smarter, to act in concert and with a long-term plan. The big disadvantage that we have is that we are, primarily, individualists, while the other side is obviously collectivists. Collectivists fall into line and follow orders from higher-ups far more readily, esp. of they’re promised an out-sized piece of the pie (and aren’t they ALL?).

Like I said, we have to get smarter and more determined, to adopt some or even most of their strategies and tactics. The US and Britain did this in WW2 to fight the Nazis and Japanese, and the nice guys didn’t finish last (because, for 3 1/2 years, we ceased to be nice, ceased being suckers and became apex predators). Time for conservatives and libertarians to do the same - and put aside our tribal differences, esp. on issues of religion - ANY religion will be stifled in the ideal Leftist future, so we must all hang together...or we will surely hang separately (to steal a phrase). Those who have formed groups that are anti-Jewish, or anti-black, or anti-Latino, or anti-Catholic, etc., and yet profess to be patriots are no such thing - they are, at best, unwitting tools of the Left by helping to divide opposition to the Left. Me - I’m Jewish, but I have a white-hot burning hatred for all things collectivist because of what the Russian Communists did to my family over a 75 year period of time. I cooperate with anyone who feels even remotely the same - but if they lump me in with the Schumers, Feinsteins, and even worse Leftist freaks who happen to have a Jewish heritage, then that cooperation cannot happen. We HAVE to put that crap aside - because the enemy has, to its great advantage.

Anyhow, I’m going to do what I can, when I can. I hope that all of us do the same.

Well aren’t you clever? Quick one-liner, with not one fact, nor one bit of logical argument. Come on, you’re better than that.

Why don’t you come back with something serious to discuss and contribute? If you think that I’m wrong about what will happen, not just over the next 2 years (as discussed in the article), but over the long term, then show me and everyone else. Hell, I’ll be HAPPY to be wrong - PLEASE show me why, with facts. I’m not some old, unmarried economics guru like Keynes, who had no stake in the future - I hopefully still have about 30 years left plus I have a wife and kids who should all outlive me. Give me a GOOD reason or reasons why I’m wrong...I’m all ears.

Michael Medved said something insightful a few years ago. He said normal people work enough to live and then retire to their homes at night to eat, have family time, go out to a show or dinner, and sleep. Liberals, in contrast, are politically active 24 hrs per day, pressing to their goal of total domination. Looks like he’s right.

If there are plans for concerted action by an enraged populace, the place to start is Florida. If the Senate seat and the Governorship are stolen through fraud, the message should be that we will not accept this election and street action that makes Antifa look like a Sunday tea taken to show that Florida in in receivership until a whole new election is held under new secure circumstances. It is going to take violent confrontation to stop the Marxist takeover of the US. Florida could be the first test war test if the Rats don't back off.
