understand the magic of keeping people entertained and distracted enough so they won’t realize that their world is being ransacked and strip mined.


The wealth of Nations by the Scottish philosopher is a tough read but worth it. In essence wealth is defined as spending to create more wealth. Adam Smith did not like lawyers and government because for the most part they were a consumption activity, though in limited amounts still necessary.

The current generation is spending all the wealth earned by prior generations. We see this in family business as well as countries. It is to be expected.

Nothing changes till the money runs out.
