Maybe you live in some pure place, but most of the “Protestant pastors” around me - ranging from Episcopalians to Evangelicals - are lesbians. There are few men and most of them are either freaked out normal retirees or are “married” to their “boyfriends.”

Mainline protestant (dead) churches, like Rome, have abandoned the Scriptural Authority and have gays in ministry.

I know of no evangelical church with gay staff in any state.

If a church has gay staff, it is a clear sign it does not believe Scripture, which condemns homosexuality.

Yeah, and all the Protestant churches spawned by Luther are knocking themselves out to be more gay than the one next door.

People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

Considering the vile, immoral, evil history of Roman Catholicism, Catholics are in no position to be casting the first stone.

Besides, prove that it/s ALL, every last *Prot* church.

Jesus never told His followers to follow any man.

His call was for men to follow HIM. We do NOT need to go through someone to get to Jesus, any more than the people in Jesus day had to go through the disciples to get to Him.

Matthew 4:19 And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Matthew 8:22 And Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”

Matthew 9:9 As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.

Matthew 10:38 And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

Matthew 19:21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

Mark 1:17 And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

Mark 2:14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.

Mark 8:34And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

Mark 10:21 And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

Luke 5:27 After this he went out and saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax booth. And he said to him, “Follow me.”

Luke 9:23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Luke 9:59 To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

Luke 18:22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

John 1:43 The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.”

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

John 12:26 If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

John 21:19 And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”

John 21:22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!”

You need to take off your blinders and get out more.

Exactly.

Far from homosexuality and immorality running rampant in the church as a sign of what happens when someone follows the Bible, it’s those who have abandoned recognizing Scripture as God’s divinely inspired unchanging Word that have gone off the rails in that department.

Including Roman Catholicism, which denigrated Scripture and elevated their so-called *sacred tradition* to the level of Scripture.

It has been happening for many decades, and every church is targeted.

It is part of Gramsci's proposed Long March through the Institutions. Churches, schools, governments at all levels, social organizations, job sites, employment, -- all segments of human civilization are the targets.

Churches, as a whole, have TWO main ingredients coveted by the satanic communist sub-humans:

The commie fags and dykes will force out the principled people, and they will have control of the wealth, and of the children of the people who were too stupid to leave and save their own.

Then the commie fags and dykes will use that wealth and those subjugated youth to attack other segments of human civilization. And on and on.

"Tolerance is the (dubious) virtue of a man with no convictions."

It’s not every one, but there is no such thing as “the” Protestant Church, so I guess it depends on which splinter group you go to. Luther was in favor of polygamy and a host of other unpleasant things, so I don’t think he’s exactly a role model.

The only role model is Our Lord.

As for the Church, I think we’re going through a purification now. Francis is clearly a heretic and an impostor, and when he goes, his corrupt buddies will go with him. Hopefully, to jail...

Purification??????

When the corruption and rot is getting worse?

Purification would be the pope actually taking a stand for righteousness and Christlikeness and cleansing the rot out but turning in those who are guilty and defrocking them and putting whatever credentials they have to serve as priests in the church.

The only ones calling for reform are essentially the laity and a few rogue priests. The rest of Roman Catholicism has for centuries forfeited the right to call itself the body of Christ. Jesus would never condone the rampant sin that has infected Roman Catholicism for over 1,000 years.

Individual lay Catholics may be following Christ, but the Roman Catholic clergy as a whole have abandoned any pretense of that. They are doing the works of their father the devil.

Yeah, and all the Protestant churches spawned by Luther are knocking themselves out to be more gay than the one next door.

I live in the rural Bible Belt, and we still have plenty of independent rural Fundamentalist churches who make both Catholicism and Orthodoxy look like a Coven of Unitarian-Universalist Pagans.

Yet I note that for all the criticism of liberal Protestant churches, it is these very ones that Catholics and Orthodox want to "dialogue" with. If you're so vehemently against them, why all the ecumenical meetings with them?

Ironically, it is these very rural independent Fundamentalist churches who are all alone holding the line, yet they are the ones Catholics and Orthodox scorn the very most. Orthodoxy is a member of the National and World Councils of Churches which is made up of these very lesbian Protestant denominations, and while the Catholic Church isn't a member, it might as well be. If the Fundamentalists are doing something right, why is there only condemnation and scorn, and never praise, from the ancient liturgical churches? What's the deal? Certainly most Catholic/Orthodox criticism is aimed at Fundamentalist churches rather than their liberal counterparts. When I was a member of the Catholic Church I noticed Catholic publications were far more critical of believing in a six day creation or that the events described in the Book of Jonah actually took place than they were to any amount of liberalism. It's as if the Fundamentalists' clinging to the Bible is somehow worse than all the heresies of liberal Protestantism. Can you explain that?

I also note the irony that the most scorned of all Fundamentalist beliefs is in the literal historical truth of the first eleven chapters of Genesis--not in any sectarian belief, but the one book that is common to all chrstians of whatever strip as well as to Jews, Qara'im, and Samaritans. Why is the most universal book of all the one that is the most resented?

If rural Fundamentalists would give up their belief in the total inerrancy of the Bible I believe they could keep all their other beliefs--even that the Pope is the "antichrist"--and then Catholics and Orthodox wouldn't hate them nearly as much.

If the "old testament" is so silly, why do you even have it in your bibles? Why not just take it out? That would certainly be preferable to keeping it in and considering it primitive mythology.

If rural Fundamentalists would give up their belief in the total inerrancy of the Bible I believe they could keep all their other beliefs--even that the Pope is the "antichrist"--and then Catholics and Orthodox wouldn't hate them nearly as much.

But doing so would destroy the very basis for the beliefs we have, the basis for our strong convictions of right and wrong.

Giving that up is exactly where the liberal mainline Prot denominations went off the rails and where the Catholic church is.

It would be a denial of all we believe in if Scripture cannot be considered that reliable.

If Scripture is not the inerrant, God breathed, Holy Spirit inspired word of God then there is nothing left for an absolute standard of truth, and those Fundamentalist churches that are standing alone would join the rest of the train wreck that institutionalized religion is.

We might as well all become Hindus or new agers, or whatever else suits our fancy.

Also, don't forget to consider, that Christians standing on that word is probably the only thing that is capable of resisting islam.

Everyone else who has given up on that belief is wanting to sit around with the muslims singing kumbaya while the muslims are sharpening their knives.
